This 8-hour class is a lecture-based conversation class. We will cover many topics related to search that include studying the data, tactics, mentality, getting back to our blue-collar roots of hard work, importance of proficiency in our tasks, and breaking down the " why". This is not a " this is how you have to do search" type of class. Instead, this is a class that aims to be interactive, to either start or further your internal department conversation about search.

This class brings together many different perspectives regarding search and may even challenge your department's way of thinking or operating. The theme of this class is "THEM" and we will discuss how we can be better prepared for THEM through our training and our day-to-day operations, because at the end of the day, this is why we are here!

*Inside search techniques
*Outside search techniques
*Victim removal
*Being effectively efficient

Student prerequisites: FF II training as required by NFPA 1001/1010 recommended.

Prerequisites: Must have successfully completed a Fire Fighter II class. Equivalent training will be considered.
