Next Level Fire Tactics: Meeting Today’s Expectations is an 8-hour advanced fireground operations course designed to elevate tactical performance in alignment with modern fire service standards, operational realities, and evolving risk profiles. This program is correlated to NFPA 1010 (Professional Qualifications for Firefighters), NFPA 1710 (Career Fire Department Deployment and Staffing), and NFPA 1720 (Volunteer Fire Department Deployment and Staffing), ensuring participants understand how staffing, response models, and performance expectations directly influence incident outcomes. Through a blend of contemporary fire behavior, building construction analysis, and risk-based decision-making, students will refine their ability to apply safe, efficient, and effective tactics under today’s dynamic fireground conditions. Emphasis is placed on integrating standard operating guidelines, accountability systems, and operational benchmarks to ensure personnel are prepared to meet or exceed nationally recognized expectations during emergency operations. This program can be tailored to meet your organization's needs.

Course objectives:
Explain how NFPA 1010 influences individual firefighter performance expectations and competency development on the modern fireground.

Analyze how staffing and response benchmarks outlined in NFPA 1710 and NFPA 1720 impact tactical capability and initial incident strategy.

Apply risk-based decision-making principles to fireground operations in accordance with contemporary fire service standards and best practices.
