This 40 hour course is designed to expand a students knowledge in Swiftwater boat Operations and is primarily intended for a qualification system. This course is a compilation of minimum knowledge and skills that an individual must demonstrate in order to qualify to stand watches or perform other specific rescue duties necessary for the safety, security or proper operation of a small craft in swiftwater environments.  

Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may carry out vessel-based rescues, and deploy rescue swimmers or other specific routine duties necessary for the safety, security or proper operation of a small craft in swiftwater emergency response operations.  

Student prerequisites: Swiftwater Rescue Technician Cert (preferred)

Special Note: This Class is Subject to weather conditions. If unsatisfactory water conditions arise, the instructor may modify the location or postpone on short notice. This will produce a high-quality, realistic training drill for the participant. Prior training in Swiftwater Rescue Technician is highly recommended. If your agency can supply a boat for the training, please contact the lead instructor.
