This 16 hour class will test the abilities of experienced firefighters with realistic, high-stress, and physically demanding scenarios. Students will work in small groups rotated through multiple stations which include partner and self-rescue, working in the flow path, civilian search and rescue, and other common fire-ground tasks. Surviving the modern fire-ground requires grit and initiative. Are you ready to challenge yourself?

Course Objectives: To create aggressive and proficient firefighters that WILL respond quickly, efficiently and proficiently to the rescue of civilian and downed Firefighters in the ever evolving modern fire environment.

Student Pre-requisites: Basic Fire Fighter/Introduction to the Fire Service or Fire Fighter I.

Prerequisites: Must have successfully completed on of the following courses: Basic Fire Fighter Skills, Introduction to the Fire Service or Firefighter I certification. Equivalent programs will be considered with documentation of completion.

Resources Required: Host agency provides the following: Apparatus / Ground Ladders / Training Tower or Acquired Structure / Pallets / Hand tools / RIT Gear

Student provides the following: Firefighter Structural PPE / SCBA

Vendor Provides the following: Lumber / SCBA Confidence Maze / Smoke Machine / Limited Viz Props
