Full Description: Class Vendor: This class is available for contracted delivery from MU Fire Rescue Training Institute - MUFRTI. Contracted Price: $2300.

This course starts with a quick review of Vehicle Rescue: Technician, specifically the types of extrication equipment. The remaining part of the course will define the classifications of industrial and agricultural vehicles, the anatomy of industrial and agricultural vehicles, size-up considerations when responding to agricultural incidents, proper procedure for stabilizing farm machinery, gaining access and extrication of farm machinery incidents. Participants will apply these techniques in practical applications.

Course Objectives: The Farm Machinery Rescue Student, upon successful completion of this course, shall be able to establish scene control and successfully implement mitigation procedures in handling a farm machinery incident.

Student Pre-requisites: Participants are required to have completed the MU FRTI Vehicle Rescue Technician course.

Prerequisites: Student must have successfully completed a Vehicle Rescue Technician course or Fire Fighter II course.

Resources Required: Host agency provides the following: Classroom with computer and data projector access. Tractor, any other used equipment (hay baler, corn head, etc.), air bags, RS-10 kit, Cribbing, Access to equipment dealer.

Student provides the following: NFPA 1951 compliant garments, helmet, gloves, eye protection and footwear required.
