Class Vendor: This class is available for contracted delivery from MU Fire Rescue Training Institute - MUFRTI. Contracted Price: $3500.

Officers and first arriving units on single- and multi-family residential structure fires face many challenges and often fewer resources than needed for full incident mitigation. This course is designed to refresh students on primary incident management skills while providing the opportunity for hands-on, simulated application in a virtual reality setting. Course topic coverage and VR simulations customized to specific department needs. Topics include command and control, incident organization, size-up, communications, personnel accountability and incident benchmarking.

Course Objectives: Demonstrate fire ground decision making that prioritizes life-safety and risk management; Utilize appropriate rules of engagement in a given scenario; Discriminate the need for and deployment of Rapid Intervention Teams.
