This 20 hour class is Entry Level Dive Certification from Scuba Divers International that is the prerequisite for all Scuba Diving Related Certifications with an emphasis in preparing for a career in Public Safety Diving.

Course Objectives: The Student will be able to perform as an entry level Open Water Scuba Diver.

Student Pre-requisites: 18 years of age and good health / Swim assessment.

Special Note: This Class is Subject to weather conditions. If an unsatisfactory water condition arises, the Instructor may modify the location or postpone on short notice. This will produce a high-quality, realistic training drill for the participant. The participant will also undergo a swim assessment on the first day, which consists of a 10-minute water tread and a 500-yard freestyle swim without flotation. The student shall also provide a Scuba BCD, Wetsuit or Drysuit, regulators, fins, and mask. The student must also complete a self-paced online awareness level learning course before participating in the practical drills. This is a Scuba Diving course, and students must complete a health assessment questionnaire before participating in any in-water drills.
