The 24 hour ERD II program is designed to enable the student to develop detailed knowledge and advanced skills in emergency response diving. It also serves as a base to develop experience and as a prerequisite for ERD II level Ops Components and ERDI Supervisor.

This course may be taught in conjunction with ERD I Diver at the discretion of the
instructor.

Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, ERD II Divers may engage in rescue and recovery operations and activities under the direct authority of a sanctioned emergency response team provided that the activities, geography and environmental conditions do not exceed the level of training.

Student pre-requisites: Public Safety Diver Certification / Drysuit / Full Face Mask Certification

Prerequisites: Must hold a current Public Safety Diver Certification, and Drysuit & Full Face Mask Certification

Resources Required: Host agency provides the following: Dive site no deeper than 40 feet with limited visibility, Classroom, Breathing Air Fill Station.

Student to provide the following: BCD, Scuba Drysuit, Regulator, Fins, Mask, Redundant Air Source (Doubles or pony) any department specific dive gear the student would like to be trained on. If student wishes to be certified in drysuit Operations, The student needs to supply a operational scuba drysuit for use in the class.

Vendor provides the following: Items for underwater recovery - Firearm, Body, Knife. Scuba Full Face Masks and Communications equipment
