This 8-hour class is available for contracted delivery from Missouri Fire Fighters Critical Illness Pool (MFFCIP). Contracted Price: $2500.

This 8-hour course provides participants with an understanding of the first responder culture and its impacts on personal mental health. Participants are taught effective peer support skills and how to build and maintain robust peer support teams.

Course Objectives:
An understanding of first responder mental health; learn effective communication skills; learn how to build and maintain effective peer support teams; and gain awareness of healthy coping strategies, resiliency, and gratitude.

This course provides 8 hours of CEUs for all levels of MODFS certifications.
