Full Description: Class Vendor: This class is available for contracted delivery from MU Fire Rescue Training Institute - MUFRTI. Contracted Price: $3200.

This class utilizes classroom, demonstration, and hands-on skills training that enables students to safely and effectively attack common exterior fire situations. Topics include size-up, hose stream management, car fires, dumpster fires, gas cylinder and flammable liquid fires. This course is taught in a lecture/practical format, including “live” fire training evolutions using a mobile fire training simulator. This course provides basic “live” fire experience to new firefighters and will also serve as refresher training for experienced members.

Course Objectives: Upon the completion of this course the student will have gained the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to and operate safely and effectively at the Firefighter I level with respect to live exterior fire applications.
